BARRE BodyFit - woot woot!! Barre burning fun while performing BodyFit’s functional strength exercises.
As we perform this workout together here is some helpful advice to get you through some of those higher reps: There are two ways to build much needed strength and muscle:
1) lift heavy with low reps
2) lift light with high reps
Athletic Barre is lifting light weights with high reps, and it’s a HIGHLY effective way to build much needed muscle and endurance strength. We need muscle to keep us strong throughout our daily life PLUS increasing our metabolism as muscle burns more calories at rest. Strength training is MORE important than simply hours of cardio. The benefit of light weights with high reps is it keeps our joints safe and supported. Sometimes heavy weights with low reps can lead to joint strain. Hopefully that inspires you to give it your all!
We need:
High backed chair
Set of 3lbs hand weights
Set of 5lbs hand weights
Medium strength mini loop band
1 glider (plastic plate for carpet/ tea towel for floors)
